I tried really hard to get a picture of the two of them together. Believe it or not, this is the most pleasant one I got. Guess I'll have to keep trying. Perhaps a different lens, the 50 mm wasn't working for me at the moment I guess.

Antelope Island with the Scouts
I laughed so hard when I saw this picture. Yes, that is a buffalo chip.
This Scout comes over and plays with Chico every once in a while. Before I know it, he's going to teach Chico to eat bugs and forge his own swords. He's really sweet with Chico and Nelmo, I love it when he visits. There's no one quite like him, I'm glad we live by him and have gotten to be part of his life as he grows. We'll definitely never forget him.
And here are some scenic pictures Brent took during the campout.
He took these when he was supposed to be sleeping but was having too much fun playing with the camera. Or perhaps he was missing me and Chico. First picture is about Chico (if you know our family well, you'll know why the Big Dipper is important in regards to Chico)
Awww, ain't it sweet? I missed him tons while he was gone. Having him gone stinks majorly.

Treehouse & Dinosaur Museums
My mom's Dinosaur Museum was going to expire last week so we wanted to take one last trip up there on her pass. My mom's MS makes it so she doesn't do well in hot weatther so we chose a cooler day to go up. As we drove up to Ogden it was really rainy though! Luckily we have passes to the Treehouse Museum and so we stopped there and let the kids play for a while until the rain stopped.
I'm glad I have a pass to this place, it's a place Nelmo can get in on the fun with a lot of the time too.
Did I mention that he can stand against furniture and is crawling now!? Yep, he's growing up too fast!
Well, the rains cleared a bit and we headed over to the ol' Dinosaur Museum and had fun. My mom was glad I brought the camera so we could finally get some pictures of the kids there.
The kids had fun sticking their heads in these things:
Yes, that is Nelmo. :)
Chico claimed this Dinosaur as his own. :) btw, I had to work hard for that smirk. He was being a stinker about smiling for me.
I love his smiles.
Discovery Museum
My sister in law has a pass to Discovery and so we tagged along on a rainy day. Chico did a lot better this time and had a blast playing. Nelmo even got in on the fun a little bit! Luckily I brought along the old trusty Rebel and got some fun pics.
Working the crane was the coveted position. The boys all had fun doing that.

Hogle Zoo
Chico, Nelmo, and I had the fun opportunity of going to Hogle Zoo with my family. Brent was off camping with the scouts so he couldn't go. Since I had my family there helping me with my boys I had more opportunity of taking pictures of the animals. Unfortunately I had the Rebel (Brent had the 5D) but I think I still pulled off some nice pictures with my little 50mm prime lens.
As we walked into Hogle Zoo they had the Eagles out for display. Awesome!!! I got to walk up really close to them and didn't have a cage blocking my way for pics! They are beautiful birds! Anyone know what kind this brown one is? I've been wondering. Maybe someone can pull out their bird book and look it up? Thanks.
My cute sister Emily humored me with this picture. (So did my Mom but I don't think she'd want me to post that picture, lol)
Chico shared the stroller with his cousin. He had only a few smiles the whole time and this is one of them (though I may have forced him to smile). He was just kinda scared of the animals and very timid.
But he LOVED this digging in the sandbox thing they had over by the construction area. I bet we could have stayed there for an hour and the kids would have loved it!
Across from where they were playing were these monkeys. Look closely, one of them is holding a monkey doll! Isn't that weird!?
Some beautiful birds...
So this peacock was just walking along through the zoo all high and mighty. He passed right by me. I was snapping pictures right and left and all of the sudden he bent over and ate something off the ground. We all kind of looked at each other in surprise because it wasn't food. Now maybe we were all confused and this red thing was actually his tongue or something, but I swear that red thing was what he ate, and then just kept on walking. It was weird. Hope he's okay.
As I watched the peacock walking by I couldn't help but think about Kung Fu Panda 2 and feel frightened a little bit. :)
I made it into a picture!
The Tigers were acting kinda weird, they were just pacing back and forth on this bridge above the pedestrian walk way. Kinda freaky but awesome photo op.
We were wondering how tall that giraffe was, luckily he was happy to oblige and went and stood by the wall so we could see. 14 feet, pretty good!
And this is the last picture I got before my camera battery died. My big bro and Nelmo.

We take a lot of pictures
Here are just a few of the many...
Brent put our baby boy in a box and he looks so adorable. And yes, he is playing with a can opener, but we were watching him closely. :)
Bathtime=Funtime for our boys. Nothing cheers them up better than a bath.
I love the way Nelmo tries to hold the running water.
And I love this face...
I love his fingers...
Did you notice cute Nelmo in the back of this picture? Here's a closer up one:
He doesn't like laying in the grass much. :) Luckily Daddy came to the rescue.
Did you see our cute niece on our photography blog? She just got baptized! It was wonderful to be part of.
I found these pictures on our Rebel clear back from April:
He has sure changed a lot!
And these ones were from one of the mild Sunday's in May when there was really cool diffused light going on outside and my hubby was looking oh so handsome so I had to take a fair few pictures of him.
And then Chico even let me take some pictures of him too!
and we perhaps need to frame this next one. Chico and his goat friends. I'm so glad our neighbors have them. It's so much fun for Chico and his friends to feed them when they're there.
that's all for random pictures from the last little while. Coming tomorrow and then the following days after that:
Hogle Zoo, Discovery Museum, Treehouse Museum/Dinosaur Museum, Camping with the Scouts
