It was SUCH a warm December! On December 30th I even let my boys play outside in their barefeet! It felt like early October!
Later that day...
This is the second time we had to pull him out of the bunny's cage. First time, I didn't get a picture but I so wish I had. I walked in the room and found Chico ALL the way in the cage and Grizwald trying to squeeze in with him. Chico hasn't tried again, I guess he learned his lesson. Griz didn't learn so fast I guess... :)
He got pretty upset after getting in there and I got a cute picture of Brent calming him down. I love my husband. :)

It was funny. Chuck went through great pains to find evidence that would support his claim that first, I was mistaken for claiming that December was a warm month, and second, that we are bad parents for letting our kids play outside in their barefeet in such harsh conditions. He found the local climatological data from the National Climatic Data Center which we compared to the date on the blog.
It turns out that I was wrong about the month of December. The average maximum for last December was 0.2 degrees below the normal (38) value.
But on 12/28 the maximum temperature increased to 45. The next day it kept rising to 56 and on December 30, it hit the all time highest temperature ever recorded on that date, 61 degrees.
Thank you Chuck
