Chico the Craftsman

Chico loves making things, he always has. He loves to work with his hands, help his Daddy with projects, and stack all kinds of things to make projects of his own (yes, he calls them projects). I love seeing what he creates (even if it is a nightmare to clean up afterwards sometimes)!   I think this particular project shown below was some kind of tent, yep, he just hauled all those blankets out there and created that himself!

A couple days later he created this rock formation, I was so impressed I just had to document it and take a picture (he loves it when I do that).

Then he added his trucks and asked me to take another picture:

Chico re-discovered his legos a week or two ago (probably since it's so freakin hot outside) and has had fun building boats. This was his first cutie boat that had a place for the doggie to be able to see.

The 2012 Air Show!

There was an airshow at Hill Airforce Base a month ago. It was a cold rainy day and we just kept our fingers crossed all morning that it would clear up in time so we could go up and see the thunderbirds. We headed up there and it started clearing up as we got closer. We got the boys all pumped about the LOUD airplanes and about how COOL it was that they were so LOUD. The pumping up was necessary and good and it worked! (even now a month later they STILL get excited when they see a plane, helicopter, or even a bird, fly overhead).  We got there in time to look around a bit, I snapped a few pictures of the shows before the thunderbirds but wanted to conserve space and battery power for the main event.

The Thunderbirds, the only part that matters (in Brent's mind). Honestly they are pretty dang amazing.  Enjoy the pictures (even though the sky wasn't optimal for great pictures) but the planes sure are awesome!


After the Thunderbirds finished then we met up with Christa's family and walked around looking at all the planes.   Love it when we can get a picture with all of us in it!

Hogle Zoo with Daddy!

Chico has been SO excited about showing Daddy all around the zoo. He finally got to come with us and it was indeed a blast! In the pic below Griz is doing his face he makes when he says "Ooooh"

The tiger was up close in the pool drinking water, wish we had our 5D with us but these worked out okay too.

Chico pointed out this wheelbarrow with as much excitement as if it was an exotic animal at the zoo!

And I just had fun finally getting to take the tourist type of pictures at the zoo...

I saw a saying recently, "Being a parent is hard work, but at least my co-worker is hot!" So true! Love you Sweetheart!
