a couple more of our family pictures

I wanted to post a few more pictures from the day we did our family photos. They didn't make the final editing cut, but I love the background in this one. The boys sure loved climbing on that fence! It was so dusty up there it was all we could do to keep the dust off our pants!

We tried this location after doing that other spot but the boys were DONE. This one is okay but I like the other location better so it didn't make the cut. Still a pretty picture, Brent may yet do something with it. :)

My Hubby and Me

Forgot to post this picture from when we did family pictures. My handsome hubby...I am so grateful for him. He serves our family so much, whether it's by doing the dishes, taking out the trash, scrubbing the bathroom, playing with the kids, or studying hard at school, he continually amazes me with his energy and stamina.  I hope I can keep up with him someday. :)  I am so lucky to have such a wonderful man as my husband, and I get the added bonus that he is so good looking! Grateful every day that the Lord brought us together. It truly is a miracle.

I was taking some "school pics" of my nieces and nephews back in September and I had Griz jump onto the stool for a few pictures.  I hate the shirt he is wearing, shoulda combed his hair better  but oh well. These pictures are so him! Everyone talks about how much he looks like Brent but there is a two year old picture of me where if you cover up the long hair and switch the eyes from blue to brown you'd have Grizzly Bear. Though I agree, he does look like Brent too. :)

Family Pictures 2012

Last week we drove up the mountain  above the "B" and with the help of my mom got some pictures of our family.  The scene was picture perfect but I really was surprised when we got home that Griz was smiling in any of them. He was kicking and screaming and wanting to do his own thing (jumping off of the fence). Thankfully there were a couple of him smiling!

This one I made a canvas for either our room or the boy's room. Can't decide.

And this one will go in our front room in our big 16x20 frame. I'm so excited. I think they will be arriving later this week!

Grizwald's SECOND Birthday

I'm still in shock, I can't believe my baby boy is ACTUALLY two.  He's a big kid now. Where did my baby go?

My boys have been very much into Super Heroes lately. Chico is going to be Spiderman for Halloween and Griz is going to be Captain America. Both of them like wearing each other's costumes though. When I was searching for a cake idea with Griz on my lap he kept pointing at this spiderman cake. It didn't look too hard so I gave marshmallow fondant a try and it really wasn't too bad (getting it red enough was the only hard part, I ended up painting it with a little water mixed with food coloring). Griz was so happy with the cake and wore the costume a lot of that day which was fitting for the picture.

  

Later we took it up to the park and had a family party for him. 

 

Chico was very much looking forward to helping Griz open his presents. Luckily Griz didn't mind a bit  and it was all very amusing to most of us.

He now has all three chipmunk dolls which he's pretty excited about.

You know how when most kids get new clothes for their birthday they just throw them off to the side and move on to the next toy? Not Griz, he immediately wanted to put his new shirt on. It was adorable.

Once again, everyone was so generous and kind to come and for the presents they gave him. We love our family!

 And yes, it was VERY hard to clean up, diaper cream is waterproof.

Last Day with our pass to the Zoo

The boys and I met up with my friend the other day at the zoo.  It was fun to go one last time before our pass expired.

The tiger was really entertaining today as it swam around in the water and swooshed his tail against the glass right where Chico was standing.
